October 10th is the World Mental Health Day, which aims to raise awareness about mental health issues around the world and mobilize efforts to support mental health.
Depression and anxiety disorders were identified as the most common mental disorders that have an impact on our ability to work, and to work productively. These disorders also impact the quality of our relationships and our day to day functioning. “Globally, more than 300 million people suffer from depression, the leading cause of disability. More than 260 million are living with anxiety disorders. Many of these people live with both.” There is stigma all around the world against mental disorders and most of these disorders still remain undiagnosed.
